I did not expect either one to have a history. Both do, and once again they split down the middle in a way that matches the philosophy better than I built it to.
Coincidences don’t usually come in stereo. I didn’t invent this word. I just wasn’t the first one to hear it.
The hungry ghost doesn’t want specific things. It just wants more. More content. More validation. More outrage. More stimulation. The thing it’s consuming doesn’t matter — what matters is the consuming.
If you’re a GenX or older millennial creator who built something real in the early internet days, poured years into honest work, and then watched the numbers slowly die while newer, more optimized accounts took off — you’re not alone and you’re not crazy.
We are all born with an innate knowledge of what is good for us, for our community and family, for our world. We naturally understand when something is not good for us, others, the world. Over time we learn to ignore that knowledge. We learn cultural and interpersonal rules that fly in the face of what we know. We distort our own reality field.
